Trust Your Inner Guide
Look inward to discover what you need + BookBub Deal
We have all a better guide in ourselves, if we would attend to it, than any other person can be. —JANE AUSTEN
Throughout this year, I’ve recommended many ways to find peace no matter what life brings. These practices have included:
Focusing on your senses
Letting go of the stories you tell yourself
Opening to life as it unfolds
Going easy on yourself
Challenging your worries
Taking responsibility for your own happiness
Letting your actions flow from your deepest values
As much as anything, I hope you’ve developed a deeper trust in yourself—your instincts, your tendency toward growth, your basic decency as a person, your fundamental worth.
In the coming year there will be days that seem impossibly hard and days that are amazingly good. It is enough simply to be who you are as you find ways to connect again and again with the present, your passions, your principles, and the people you love.
Instead of offering a specific practice this week, I’d like to turn things over to you. Trust that you know what you need today. Follow wherever the call is leading you.
I wish you the very best of life and love in 2025.
BookBub Deal on A Mindful Year
Today’s message is adapted from a book I co-authored with Dr. Aria Campbell-Danesh called A Mindful Year. It offers 365 daily practices for reducing stress, managing anxiety, and finding happiness in everyday life.
The publisher let us know that BookBub is offering a special deal on A Mindful Year—you can get the e-book for $1.99 through January 5, 2025. Here is the link.
With love and hope,

Having just, (well almost) completed your CBT course on waking up, I have to say that I’m not only blown away but totally hooked on what mindfulness, CBT and meditation practice in general is offering me.
I’m only a few weeks in and maybe it’s beginner luck, but I already feel calmer, less reactive and better able to manage anxiety in challenging times.
Thank you Seth for your work, it’s truly life changing 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
